The IBD Digest has a simple user interface which allows the user to dive right into understanding dietary decisions in order to control the inflammation in the gut. The home screen consists of information, from gut-busting foods like the best anti-inflammatory spices to eat, to the Recipe of the Month. Also, there health and wellness tips so users can take charge of their lives. The science page outlines important nutrition, offering scientific insights and clinical evidence of different foods and how they interact with the gut to improve or worsen IBD symptoms. The recipe page contains free access to a digital cookbook which has a variety of delicious IBD-friendly recipes. The IBD Digest features the Short IBD Questionnaire ("SIBDQ") which can be used to track the user’s progress during their time with the app. The questionnaire offers quantitative data on the user’s quality of life with scores that can range between 10 and 70.
